Claudia's Update since arriving in the U.S.A.

This is not a newsletter...just an update...but will soon post our last newsletter from last month in Uganda. We are so excited to be back to spend these first days with sweet Isaac, and of course, his mother and dad, and to be able to touch base by cellphone (only when in town), once we got that up and going. It took several days to work out a plan for email but now have that accomplished. So we are beginning to feel more at home. Our setting here is so lovely out in the country and we are very grateful for the Keen's sharing it with us.

Our departure from Uganda was most difficult and time passed all too quickly those last weeks. We do miss them all so very much and parting was such sweet sorrow. They are such wonderful people and we were so blessed to be there three years. We will share more later.

We had great flights home and took 6 days while in London to ride a train to Edinburgh, Scotland, a very beautiful city. We took a 3 day tour around Scotland and even looked for the Loch Ness monster...ha...but did not see him. All our luggage followed us and arrived with us in Richmond. That was a huge blessing for sure.

We leave Monday, 21, to go to Atlanta to spend days with Mom, and then she will travel with us the next weekend to speak on the 27th at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, near Talledega, and then will return to Atlanta for another week with her and then to Myrtle Beach on May 3 to see Danny's brother and family. We have been invited to the Candidate Conference so will return here May 4 for a week of interviews, orientation, physicals and other things in the process toward the career appointment. Pray that we can pass each step. Then it is Mother's Day and it will be great to be a grandmother this year. Plus, Jason will come down a few days from NYC.

Okay, Chick-fil-A is calling and we hear Isaac too....so will close for now....our friends, Hulyn and Anne Kight, arrive tomorrow with trunks that our volunteers from Mt. Zion brought back for us so I am having to do some housework...and I am not so familiar with that anymore...ha.

Danny has loaded the blog with pictures of Isaac as you can see....

What can I say?!

Isaac plays the piano and Danny cuts the grass....

Isaac...Isaac...Isaac

Our New Home

For the next 6 or so months this is where we are living...Bumpass, Va. We are about 20 minutes (depends on whose driving) beyond MLC ... in the country! It's nice and quite. We can't get phone calls. We have mother's ATT cell phone and there no signal out here. We have email after a week. It is Verizon wireless. We get one and half towers. We are about 40 minutes from Isaac. We have driven into Richmond everyday! I know, it's got to stop!

Billy and Connie Keen owe the house where we are staying. They want to use it as a missionary home. We are the first ones! We are very grateful to them.
