My sister, Dorothy Died

My sister (Claudia's sister), Dorothy Alliston, died Wednesday, July 16th. She was 80 years old and 16 years older than I. She had spent the last 10 years in a nursing home in Columbia, MS. Her journey was a painful, emotional one and we are happy that she is out of that pain and with the One, Jesus, Who loved her more than she really understood. She had sparkling brown eyes and an infectious laugh and had a lot of witty sayings... such as, "I don't know if I am washing or hanging out to dry;" or "I don't know if I'm shuckin or shellin'." Truly, may she rest in the peace of our Lord.

Moving Mom

After 7 years in Christian City, Union City, Georgia, mother has made a change to Azalea Estates. Mother will soon be 85 and with poor eyesight, it seemed time for assisted living. Claudia and I have spent the past 10 days helping her relocate. It has been a huge challenge for her but she is doing well. We still need at least two more days to complete the project and then it is back to Richmond.

Springhill Baptist

What a wonderful day! Claudia and I shared what God is doing in Uganda. We also had the opportunity to meet Andy and Christina Berry's parents. What a special blessing. Andy and Christina are part of the the Kampala Urban Team and we had the joy of serving with them.

A Day in the Country

Isaac spent the the afternoon with Jaja and PeePaw. We eat, slept and had a bath in the sink. It was a good time!

Biking Again

Thanks to Randy, Paul, Brian, and others... I am riding my bike again. These guys at Kathleen Baptist (our home church) Fedex my bike from Florida. Great friends!

Whatever you want....

Friends are forever!

This is true because of our personal relationships with Jesus. Gordon and Bonnie were in the Richmond area for a little while. They served in the Masters Program of the IMB in Uganda. They are great servants here or there or wherever, loving the Lord and sharing the good news of Jesus!
